For detail informations about this vacancy opportunity please read the description below. Children's Hospital & Medical Center is seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist. Fellowship in pediatric cardiac anesthesiology is desirable, but experience only ! is sufficient. We are an MD only anesthesia practice and the candidate must be board certified/eligible.
We are 15 pediatric anesthesiologists providing full spectrum pediatric anesthetic cares with 5 of us doing pediatric cardiac anesthesiology as well as complicated general pediatric cases. The cardiac faculty provide cardiac anesthetics for 250-300 CPB, 400 cath lab, and 300-400 assorted ECMO, cardiac ICU, NICU, non-cardiac surgery, interventional and diagnostic radiology cases/year for infants, and children with congenital heart disease. The Congenital Heart Program has 3 surgeons, 3 interventional cardiologists and 2 pediatric electro-physiologists. The program encompasses the entire spectrum of congenital heart disease including neonatal/pediatric heart transplantation. Through our affiliation with the University of Nebraska we offer an academic appointment and teaching and research opportunities.
Children's is a 145-bed, non-profit free standing hos! pital which provides services to children and families across ! a five-state region and beyond. We offer a desirable compensation and benefits package in our private practice model, employed physician group. Children’s is supported by 24-hour, in-house pediatric critical care specialists and over 30 pediatric sub-specialties. Children’s has 19 PICU bed and a 46 bed level-IV NICU. Anesthesiology cover calls from home.
