The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the initiation of standard therapy, basic ventilator management, protocols and diagno! stic procedures. Responsible for providing care to infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients as defined by competency. May supervise students in clinical rotations. Requirements: Graduate of an AMA-approved program of Respiratory Care required.
Licensure to practice respiratory care in the State of Nebraska required. Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required upon hire, or if new graduate, within six (6) months of hire. Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required if requested by Manager based on assignment .
