To act as a clinical role model and mentor in pediatric speech-language pathology through competency and experience in the evaluation and treatme! nt of feeding and swallowing dysfunction, receptive and expressive communication disorders and other commonly seen pediatric disorders in the inpatient, outpatient and clinic settings. To aid in assuring appropriate orientation, competency assessment and professional growth for all speech-language pathologists within the organization. To assist manager and co-workers in identifying and developing systems, structures and processes that support high quality service, outcomes measures, and current clinical practice.Conducts communication &/or feeding assessments/reassessments that are appropriate to area of service delivery and indication for service. Provides high quality patient care that reflects appropriate clinical reasoning and that optimizes patient†s potential for functional gains, improved quality of life, & increased care giver participation in the area of communication &/or feeding.
Assists in the development and growth of the speech treatment team. Assis! ts manager and team in identifying and developing systems, str! uctures, processes and programs that support high quality service, outcomes measures, current clinical practice, program growth & fiscally responsible practice.
