The staff nurse assumes principal responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of each assigned patient. The staff nurse initiates teaching and educates the patient and family/or significant other to attain optimal health.

TNCC certification required within 2 years of employment. 8 CEU's every 2 years that are Trauma related with 2 of those hours being specific to pediatrics. Minimum of 1 year previous Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred.
